Larry Jakubiak reported that over 150 people were served at the Hotchkiss Community Christmas Dinner. That makes this year’s dinner the largest one ever. He added that the volunteers were fabulous. Many people came to help set up, serve and clean up. Zack’s BBQ smoked the hams and turkeys. Those who attended brought many salads and desserts. The food was plentiful and delicious. Mike Owens, Hotchkiss public works director, plowed the town hall parking lot early Christmas morning so people coming to the free dinner wouldn’t have any problems. It was a beautiful white Christmas shared with lots of friends and neighbors.
